About the role
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, design, and evaluate military weapons systems and protective architectures.
- Develop and document Program Protection Plans and associated technical artifacts.
- Conduct critical analysis and modeling on proposed architectures to ensure compliance with protection standards.
- Identify weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determine the consequences of potential compromise.
- Coordinate with program, service, Joint, and DoD agencies to ensure horizontal protection requirements are met.
- Support program risk management, mitigation, and reporting efforts.
- Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member, providing System Security Engineering (SSE) expertise.
Requirements
- 3+ years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering, specifically including Systems Security Engineering (SSE).
- Proven experience developing Program Protection Plans and associated artifacts.
- Experience developing and understanding aircraft network architectures.
- Knowledge of the DoD systems acquisition life cycle.
- BA/BS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Software, Network, Cyber Security, Systems Engineering) or a related field.
- Must possess a current Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering transformations.
- Recent and direct experience with DoD acquisitions and AT systems engineering.
