About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct main safety assessments, including Functional Hazard Assessment and System Safety Assessment, for military aircraft and systems
- Perform Risk Analyses and Common-Cause Analyses (such as Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis) to support continuous aircraft development
- Generate safety requirements, safety evidence, and safety procedures while interfacing with technical domains like human factors and aircraft performance
- Influence aircraft and systems architecture development to ensure required safety and integrity levels
- Act as a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders, including airworthiness authorities, design teams, and customers
- Review and approve supplier data regarding safety and reliability
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science, or a similar discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a related field
- Strong knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems
- Experience in System Engineering with an interface to safety assessment, airworthiness, or certification
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with safety tools such as Isograph FaultTree+ or Reliability Workbench
- Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
- Ability to obtain or maintain necessary security clearance
