System Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct main System and Software Safety assessments (FHA/SSA) for military aircraft and systems
• Conduct System and Software Risk Analyses to support continuous aircraft development and certification
• Perform Common-Cause Analyses, including Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis
• Generate safety requirements, safety evidence, procedures, and limitations
• Influence aircraft, system, and software architecture development regarding safety and integrity
• Act as a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders, including airworthiness authorities and customers
• Review and approve supplier data regarding safety and reliability

Requirements

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science, or a similar discipline
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in related fields, including system and software development
• Strong knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems
• Experience with System/Software Safety Assessments or interface with airworthiness/certification processes
• Proficiency with safety tools such as Isograph FaultTree+ or Reliability Workbench
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Very good English language skills; German language skills are a plus
