About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct main System and Software Safety assessments (FHA/SSA) for military aircraft and systems
- Conduct System and Software Risk Analyses to support continuous aircraft development and certification
- Perform Common-Cause Analyses, including Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis
- Generate safety requirements, safety evidence, procedures, and limitations
- Influence aircraft, system, and software architecture development regarding safety and integrity
- Act as a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders, including airworthiness authorities and customers
- Review and approve supplier data regarding safety and reliability
Requirements
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science, or a similar discipline
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in related fields, including system and software development
- Strong knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems
- Experience with System/Software Safety Assessments or interface with airworthiness/certification processes
- Proficiency with safety tools such as Isograph FaultTree+ or Reliability Workbench
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Very good English language skills; German language skills are a plus
