System Integration and Characterization Engineer

Responsibilities

• Test and characterize graphene photonics and electronic devices, including modulators, photodetectors, integrated circuits, and optical I/O systems
• Develop, automate, and optimize characterization and production test methods, measurement scripts, and ATE solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define measurement strategies and support design-for-test (DFT) implementation
• Analyze and report measurement data to support yield improvement, statistical process control, and failure analysis
• Establish and maintain test procedures, quality control standards, and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement in test efficiency, process optimization, and manufacturing analytics

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or Semiconductor Engineering
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor, photonic, and optoelectronic device characterization
• Strong understanding of PIC, EIC, and optoelectronic device operation
• Proven experience performing electrical, optical, and RF measurements using laboratory instrumentation
• Hands-on experience automating test solutions using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
• Experience designing and building characterization setups from bench-top to wafer-scale
• Knowledge of Design-for-Test (DFT) and Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Experience with statistical data analysis, SPC, and yield monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of semiconductor and photonic reliability qualification standards
• Experience with packaging characterization
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or semiconductor manufacturing environment
