System Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle of turbofan propulsion systems, including concept development, architecture, and certification.
• Establish and maintain the Systems Engineering framework, including SEMP, requirements management, and verification/validation plans.
• Drive system architecture definition, functional decomposition, and interface management across propulsion subsystems.
• Lead engine-to-aircraft integration activities in coordination with airframe and control system teams.
• Oversee System Safety and RMST (Reliability, Maintainability, Supportability, and Testability) activities.
• Support certification activities by providing system-level compliance evidence and participating in technical reviews (PDR/CDR).
• Manage system technical baselines, configuration control, and engineering change management.
• Mentor systems engineering teams and promote engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
• 18-28 years of experience in systems engineering within turbofan propulsion or aerospace environments.
• Deep expertise in systems integration, requirements management, and verification & validation.
• Proven experience with certification processes (EASA, FAA, or EMAR highly desirable).
• Proficiency with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), configuration management, and PLM environments.
• Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external certification authorities.
