System Engineer III - Power

Responsibilities

• Develop and write task assignments for facility power distribution systems up to 13.8 KV.
• Oversee Mission Support planning, coordination, and electrical project planning.
• Manage equipment operations and maintenance, including developing job plans and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Perform senior-level troubleshooting, design, and development for electrical distribution systems.
• Support technical craft labor and shop technicians with technical expertise and anomaly resolution.
• Coordinate NASA and customer mission activities to support launch schedules and test plan development.
• Conduct site visits to investigate system problems and provide recommendations for restoration.
• Adhere to electrical safety practices including NFPA 70E, OSHA, and NFPA 497.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with Medium Voltage Systems, including Transformers, Switchgears, and Medium Voltage Cables.
• Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Generator systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Medium Voltage Protective Relays and coordination studies.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Low Voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Experience with battery systems and VFDs.
• Experience with Motor Control Centers (MCC) and AC motors.
