System Engineer - Engineering Change/Release Management

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for the Ground Control Station (GCS) across hardware, software, and supply chain teams.
• Manage configuration and release control, ensuring product configurations, BOMs/EBOMs, and release documentation are accurate in tools like 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Plan and review required tests for engineering changes, defining success criteria and configuration baselines.
• Coordinate with flight test and operations teams to execute and document validation activities for product changes.
• Act as a technical interface between engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain clear technical records, decision logs, and traceability to support safe and auditable product development.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Approximately 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering, product engineering, or configuration management.
• Practical experience with Engineering Change Requests, change control boards, and release processes.
• Proficiency with PLM or engineering data management tools (experience with 3DEXPERIENCE is a plus).
• Strong technical understanding of complex products involving hardware, software, and system-level integration.
• Basic understanding of software-related topics such as IP networking, protocols, and versioning.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defense, aerospace, UAVs, robotics, or automotive engineering environments.
• Familiarity with V-model development processes, verification, and validation.
• Experience with flight testing, field testing, or prototype validation.
• Understanding of BOM structures, EBOM flows, and production handover processes.
