About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition for vehicle functions, signals, and behaviors under real-world use cases and diagnostic codes
  • Execute a framework for Design Failure Mode Analysis (DFMEA) of electronic modules
  • Develop ODX/CDD data with DTCs and manage diagnostic databases
  • Enforce process and KPIs for Functional Safety (FuSa) delivery across the vehicle
  • Act as the primary lead for requirement quality, failure analysis, and process discipline
  • Govern execution of interfaces architecture and integration readiness across hardware, software, and connectivity domains
  • Recognize system-level constraints including compute, timing, power, and reliability
  • Mentor and scale multi-disciplinary system and feature teams
  • Establish engineering governance, design reviews, and technical decision-making frameworks
  • Interface with electrical design teams, software developers, and supplier integration teams

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 12+ years of professional experience
  • Expertise in automotive system/platform development and modeling (System V)
  • Experience delivering platforms reused across multiple vehicle programs
  • Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or advanced mobility systems
  • Experience with cloud-connected embedded systems and modern DevOps pipelines
  • Expertise in vehicle electrical architecture, ECU-level software stacks, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
  • Proficiency in UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
  • Strong knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Proficiency in Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
  • Strong understanding of MATLAB/Simulink for HIL test environments
  • Familiarity with vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe
