System Engineer – Built-In Test Equipment (BITE)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) functions across various aircraft systems to support maintainability and failure isolation
• Act as a global contact point for BITE-related topics, supporting design offices and suppliers
• Analyze in-service queries from airlines regarding failures and troubleshooting
• Identify collaboration opportunities with the Skywise data analytics platform to improve aircraft maintenance
• Provide technical support to system engineers and designers for correct BITE implementation
• Proof-read system design documents, lab test specifications, and lab test reports
• Validate BITE function modifications and manage configuration and fault-related maintenance data

Requirements

• B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, or M.E. in Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related engineering field
• Understanding of aircraft systems and their interfaces
• Knowledge of communication protocols including A429, MIL, AFDX, Ethernet, and CAN
• Familiarity with SAE ARP 4754 and 4761 standards
• Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python or Java
• Knowledge of end-to-end product development workflows in a system-of-systems environment
• Interest in Data Science and experience with aircraft data analytics
• Proficiency with Jira and Google Suite
• INCOSE certification in Systems Engineering
