System Engineer: Battery Electronics

Responsibilities

• Perform system engineering for Battery Electronics products, including 12V LiBB, BMS, and IBS
• Define system requirements and architecture, and support the delivery of FMEA system workproducts
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers, preparing technical proposals and feasibility analyses
• Analyze functional and non-functional customer requirements during both acquisition and product development phases
• Collaborate with cross-functional domains including Hardware, Software, Mechanical Design, and Testing
• Ensure alignment with functional safety standards and regulations such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical conflicts and prepare comprehensive technical proposals

Requirements

• BE, B.Tech, M.E, or M.Tech in Electronics or Electronics & Communication
• 5-7 years of professional experience within the automotive industry
• Deep knowledge of 12V LiBB, BMS, and IBS products
• Proficiency with requirement engineering tools such as IBM DOORS or IBM Rhapsody
• Experience with FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) and Design Verification Planning
• Technical knowledge of Renesas and Infineon AURIX microcontrollers
• Understanding of the end-to-end product development life cycle from acquisition to production
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MKS/PTC Integrity tools
• Knowledge of product release processes and configuration management
• Familiarity with safety-related regulations and standards
