System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and customers
• Coordinate systems engineering activities and manage client changes and directives
• Monitor and manage technical documentation to ensure compliance with Alstom standards
• Implement systems engineering methods and tools
• Participate in technical risk assessments and performance analysis
• Collaborate with validation teams to ensure all requirements are met
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent field
• 4–10 years of experience in railway, aerospace, automotive, or related industries
• Professional proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work autonomously on multiple systems and projects
• Strong coordination, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites across North America

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with railway systems architecture
• Knowledge of a language other than French and English to support international partners
