System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for system functions throughout the entire development process
• Develop system solutions that meet technical and customer requirements
• Dimension and optimize water-related, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems
• Write technical specifications and other technical documentation
• Collaborate with other technical areas, suppliers, and production
• Perform commissioning and verification of systems
• Participate in testing at suppliers, at docks, or at sea
• Act as a subject matter expert in R&D projects and concept studies
• Train crew members in system handling
• Participate in maintenance and further development projects for operational systems

Requirements

• Engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Process, Energy, Chemical, Marine, Mechatronics, or Technical Physics)
• At least five years of relevant professional experience
• Strong technical foundation and willingness to specialize
• Ability to work in complex, regulated, or safety-critical environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with water systems, pump systems, valves, or piping systems
• Experience with hydraulics or pneumatics
• Experience in process technology and system dimensioning
• Experience in commissioning and verification of technical systems
• Experience in technical documentation and requirement management
• Experience with supplier contact and technical follow-up
