System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the commercial sales team to meet quarterly revenue goals
• Technically qualify sales opportunities and provide pre- and post-sale technical support
• Deliver compelling Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstrations and solution presentations to key prospects
• Drive preference for A10 solutions with both end-users and channel partners
• Provide high-quality technical training to channel partners and customers
• Analyze and provide input on customer feature requests to help qualify value and timescales
• Assist post-sales and TAC teams in diagnosing and mitigating issues for key customers
• Mentor junior staff and act as a design authority on specific projects
• Communicate market trends and assist in writing application notes and technical documentation

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge in at least two areas: Application Delivery Controllers, NextGen firewalls, Virtualization and Orchestration, or Network Security
• Strong understanding of Layer-4-7 protocols including HTTP, DNS, SSL, Caching, and Compression
• Operating experience in Enterprise Applications, DevOps tools, or routing and switching
• Proficiency with traffic generation tools such as Ixia or Spirent
• Programming skills in a modern scripting language

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working within virtualized environments and with hypervisors
