Responsibilities

  • Lead as the Incident Commander during cross-functional disruptions, orchestrating response efforts and making real-time decisions
  • Manage and prioritize escalations involving Legal, Ops, Safety, Policy, and Communications
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships to communicate post-incident outcomes and learnings
  • Collaborate with global Operations teams to provide 24/7 incident response support
  • Drive continuous improvement through thorough incident retrospectives and root cause analysis
  • Deliver executive-level communications regarding active incidents and strategic learnings

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct experience in incident management as an Incident Commander or lead responder
  • Proven technical expertise in applying engineering system understanding to incident response and remediation
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure in high-stakes situations
  • Experience briefing senior executives on complex, fast-moving incidents
  • Exceptional attention to detail in documenting incident timelines and post-incident analysis
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Emergency Management, Business, Operations, or Law
  • Experience leading crisis response in large-scale or high-impact environments
  • Ability to interact with external stakeholders such as law enforcement and regulatory agencies
  • Experience in highly regulated industries like Automotive, Maritime, or Aviation
  • Certifications in incident management frameworks such as NIMS/ICS or ITIL
