Responsibilities

• Lead as the Incident Commander during cross-functional disruptions, orchestrating response efforts and making real-time decisions
• Manage and prioritize escalations involving Legal, Ops, Safety, Policy, and Communications
• Develop cross-functional partnerships to understand stakeholder concerns and communicate post-incident outcomes
• Collaborate with global Operations teams to provide 24/7 incident response support
• Drive continuous improvement by leading incident retrospectives and identifying root causes
• Deliver executive-level communications regarding active incidents and strategic learnings

Requirements

• Experience with event mapping and incident action planning
• Technical expertise in complex engineering systems and cross-functional leadership
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-stakes, rapidly evolving situations
• Experience briefing senior executives on complex, fast-moving incidents
• Exceptional attention to detail in documenting incident timelines and post-incident analysis
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Emergency Management, Business, Operations, or Law
• Experience as an Incident Commander in large-scale or high-impact environments
• Experience interacting with external stakeholders like law enforcement or regulatory agencies
• Background in highly regulated industries such as Automotive, Maritime, or Aviation
• Certifications in incident management frameworks like NIMS/ICS or ITIL
