System Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create detailed AVL system designs for construction and installation using industry-standard CAD platforms
• Engineer AVL system designs by validating concepts and ensuring technical reliability and scalability
• Produce design documentation including layouts, elevations, schematics, wiring diagrams, and custom plate designs
• Verify system design details with client vendors regarding power, weight, heat loads, and infrastructure
• Perform 3D clash analysis and produce loudspeaker, acoustic, and 3D rendering models
• Manage startup, implementation, and commissioning of equipment at HQ and project sites
• Provide technical remote support and assist the Support team as a technical expert

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Acoustics, IT, AVL Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in an AVL technical role, ideally in the House of Worship industry
• Advanced proficiency with CAD/Vector software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Sketchup, or Revit
• Hands-on experience with on-site installation or commissioning of projects
• OSHA 10 Certification (can be provided by Summit)
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights of 6+ feet
