System Design Engineer, POWER

Responsibilities

• Develop system functions for power electronics products including inverters, on-board chargers, and DC/DC converters.
• Design, analyze, and review detailed system requirements following ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards.
• Simulate electromagnetic behavior of synchronous machines and associated power electronics equipment.
• Create technical documentation, including data sheets, descriptions, and worst-case analyses.
• Collaborate with system architects and HW/SW/MD architects regarding interfaces and requirements.
• Support stakeholders across software, hardware, and testing teams.
• Conduct reviews for software requirements, architecture, and system integration/test cases.
• Contribute to the RFQ phase through requirements assessment and customer discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 1.5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Power Electronics.
• Proficiency in MATLAB scripting and Simulink modelling.
• Solid understanding of electrical drives, control of electrical machines (FOC, PWM), or DC/DC converters (Boost, LLC, etc.).
• Fluency in English.
• Graduation project must have a focus on Power Electronics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Power Electronics, Motor Control, Control Theory, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Pspice modelling.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, micro-controllers (specifically Aurix), or Autosar/BSW.
• Familiarity with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 safety standards.
• Proficiency in the German language.
