System Debug Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead post-silicon debug activities across CPU, chipset, platform, firmware, and system-level components
• Drive end-to-end issue triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of silicon, BIOS, firmware, and platform defects
• Develop and execute debug strategies for first-silicon bring-up, feature enablement, and validation readiness
• Define and establish scalable debug methodologies, workflows, and best practices across programs
• Coordinate debug activities across global teams to support critical program milestones and product launch schedules
• Mentor engineers on advanced debug techniques, failure analysis methodologies, and system-level problem-solving
• Identify debug-related execution risks early and develop mitigation plans

Requirements

• 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience with hands-on expertise in silicon, platform, firmware, or system debug
• Strong understanding of x86 SoC architecture, embedded systems, and hardware/software interactions
• Expertise with industry-standard debug tools including JTAG, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers
• Experience debugging high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SATA, and DDR
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven success leading technical teams and driving issue resolution across multiple cross-functional organizations
• Strong knowledge of BIOS, firmware, operating systems, drivers, and platform enablement flows
• Ability to effectively present technical findings and executive summaries to senior leadership
