System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016–2025)
• Own server reliability, availability, performance, and security through operational standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues affecting Windows servers and infrastructure services
• Perform routine and advanced server maintenance, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
• Monitor system performance and capacity to identify risks and support infrastructure planning
• Collaborate on Fortinet-based network infrastructure including firewalls and switches
• Lead infrastructure initiatives and technical projects from design through implementation
• Develop and uphold IT policies, standards, and procedures to strengthen security and compliance
• Participate in change management activities for server, cloud, and network environments

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure or server administration
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
• Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery (Veeam, Azure, Wasabi)
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure services (Defender for Cloud, Arc, virtual networks)
• Ability to lead infrastructure projects and implement technical solutions
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT operations
• Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing 25–50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites
• Availability for after-hours maintenance and on-call requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, or AZ-305)
• ITIL certification
• Microsoft certifications (MCSA or MCSE)
