About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment supporting SIPR and other classified information systems.
- Troubleshoot technical problems of basic to moderate scope, including hardware and operating system integration.
- Manage virtualized environments and utilize Windows Server internals such as DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication.
- Manage hardware RAID, hardware/software encryption, and server management tools.
- Perform data backup and restore operations following industry best practices.
- Install and configure software applications as requested by end users.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and system hardening.
- Obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months of start date.
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent experience.
- Less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.
- Experience with system hardening for security compliance.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and an Operating System Certification.
- Experience with Trellix Host Base Security System (HBSS), ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Endpoint Security (ENS), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Experience deploying Windows workstations and migrating end-user data.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services and Group Policy.
- Experience with network services including DC, DNS, and DHCP.
