About the Company

The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (“BXDA”) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By “Pursuing Justice with Integrity,” the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and monitor enterprise servers on-premises or in the cloud, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and SQL/Oracle DB
• Collaborate with IT colleagues to plan and support the transition to Nutanix HCI environments
• Manage and optimize Azure instances, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring
• Implement and maintain IGEL-powered VDI systems for secure remote access
• Use Windows and Linux-based operating systems to support IT needs
• Manage central-managed tools like SCCM/Ivanti for OS updates, patches, and backups
• Create and maintain build pipelines for CI/CD of test-ready code
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
• Monitor system performance and security to mitigate potential risks
• Maintain and execute agency business continuity plans
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4 years of experience in datacenter/cloud engineering and operations (or 8 years of experience with a degree)
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, Nutanix, Azure, or Linux
