System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support Classified Infrastructure in a 100% onsite role.
• Maintain hardware infrastructure, multiple operating systems, and perform regular patching to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Safeguard applications and sensitive data by enforcing security measures and monitoring access permissions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of servers and workstations, validating functionality through rigorous testing.
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate applications and optimize system performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role overseeing compute, storage, and backup appliances.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting a range of software applications.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of databases and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Must hold a current or reinstatable NV1 security clearance (with the ability to obtain NV2).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
