Swimming Coach

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop swimmers from Junior Development through to Senior Competition phases
• Develop and implement seasonal training plans, including technical stroke correction and performance training
• Provide direction to swimmers of all abilities, adapting stroke models to suit individual needs
• Attend and coach MQU Club races, as well as internal and external competitions
• Coordinate MQU internal Club racing opportunities in consultation with the Head Coach
• Implement student retention activities and assist with squad program growth via CRM systems
• Coach School Holiday Squad Programs
• Maintain accurate records of athlete progression and handle administrative duties including parent enquiries

Requirements

• AUSTSWIM Teacher Towards Competitive Strokes and/or SCTA Swim Squad Fundamentals certification
• Demonstrated experience coaching in a competitive or development squad environment
• Experience coaching Metropolitan or Country level athletes and above
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Availability to work a rotating roster seven days per week
