About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment for members
- Promote member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies
- Build and maintain positive member relations
- Maintain equipment and ensure the aquatic area remains clean
- Find substitutes when needed and report them to the Aquatics Director
Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Ability to demonstrate swimming proficiency
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification (classes available)
- Ability to verbally communicate with the public and staff
- Must pass reference checks, criminal history background check, sex offender check, and drug screen
