About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment for members
- Promote member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies
- Find substitutes when needed and report to the Aquatics Director
- Build and maintain member relations
- Maintain equipment and keep the aquatic area clean
Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification (classes available)
- Demonstrated swimming ability
- Ability to verbally communicate with the public and staff
- Ability to pass reference checks, criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen
