About the Company

Lynk is the inventor of satellite-direct-to-standard-phone technology (sat2phone), and plans to disrupt the commercial Direct To Device landscape. Lynk allows mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified, mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all manufacturing operations across Lynk’s manufacturing facilities.
• Lead the development of manufacturing and production plans to scale from a few satellites per month to hundreds.
• Design, implement, tool, and staff satellite production facilities in different global regions.
• Manage launch vehicle integration across multiple providers.
• Partner with design and technology teams to implement design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Automate production, assembly, and test (AI&T) procedures where appropriate.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and manage supply chain risks.
• Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate satellites and production equipment.
• Manage the supply chain plan and parts program for production facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• 15+ years of experience designing, standing up, and operating manufacturing facilities for automotive, hardware, or space systems.
• Proven track record of leading and managing large production teams.
• In-depth understanding of industry best practices for high-volume quality manufacturing.
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading the production of satellites or satellite components at scale.
• Experience managing overseas suppliers.
