SVP, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering organization's technology vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization by hiring and developing senior talent
• Drive delivery of complex, cross-functional programs across client-facing and internal systems
• Serve as the senior technical decision-maker for architecture and platform choices
• Partner with Product, Data, Design, Infosec, and IT leadership
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, security, and 24x7 operational reliability
• Champion Agile practices and modern delivery disciplines like CI/CD
• Represent engineering to executive leadership and the board

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software development and architecture
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Go, or Java
• Experience with front-end technologies, preferably React
• Proven track record building high-volume, highly scalable web services
• Experience operating highly available 24x7 services
• Extensive Agile development experience
• Experience with continuous deployment and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of API design and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and relational/non-relational databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large-scale data warehouses for analytics
