About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lab technician for additive manufacturing operations, focusing on advanced manufacturing and repair
  • Set up, operate, and maintain additive manufacturing and conventional machining equipment
  • Manage consumable and spare parts inventory
  • Adhere to all laboratory and equipment guidelines and safety protocols
  • Support sustainment activities for government and industry customers

Requirements

  • High school graduation or 3 years of equivalent related manufacturing or technology experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating or maintaining industrial equipment
  • 3 years of experience operating conventional or numerically controlled (NC) equipment
  • 1 year of experience using 3D printers (e.g., preparing and slicing models and creating print files)
  • Proficiency with precision measurement equipment, such as outside micrometers, dial calipers, and feeler gauges
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to federal research contract requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining Stratasys polymer or EOS metal additive manufacturing equipment
  • Experience working in lab environments with strict adherence to policies and procedures
  • Proficiency using various CAD/CAM software packages
  • Experience interacting with design engineers and other technical personnel
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
