Sustaining Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve process specifications, operating procedures, and process controls
• Manage the installation and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new and existing CNC and robotic equipment
• Provide production support to ensure manufacturing equipment and processes operate safely and efficiently
• Conduct engineering studies and write validation reports for CNC/Robotic process validations
• Implement cost reduction initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles
• Develop process control solutions such as vision systems, laser sensors, and in-process gage systems
• Identify and implement corrective and preventative actions for scrap and rework
• Provide Digital/CAD support for shop floor layouts

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience
• 3-4 years of verifiable experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or similar CNC process development
• Experience with QC Inspection and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Experience with CAM systems (Multi-axis Milling and Turning)
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Experience with Agile PLM and cellular manufacturing
