Sustaining Lab Intern

Responsibilities

• Handle biological and clinical specimens
• Perform data entry into Freezer Management System
• Process specimens for NGS, including nucleic acid extraction and library preparation
• Participate in experimental design, execution, and analysis
• Conduct general lab maintenance and inventory management
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and projects
• Perform all laboratory activities in accordance with the Quality Assurance Program

Requirements

• Currently enrolled collegiate student (sophomore or higher) in good standing
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in computer and software applications
• Ability to learn new software and collaborate with diverse teams
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous lab experience in biotech or an academic lab
