About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive functional testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, and optical medical equipment.
- Conduct failure analysis to identify root causes of product failures and implement corrective actions.
- Manage return inventory activities, including triage, decontamination, and tracking of returned parts.
- Execute repair and testing processes by operating specialized machines, equipment, and fixtures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the manufacture and repair of Class III medical devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to investigate manufacturing issues and qualify processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
- Experience in the medical device industry, specifically with Class II or III device manufacturing.
- Proven experience in a technical role related to Failure Analysis or Reliability Engineering.
- Experience working with complex mechanical systems or large-scale medical platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of product development and manufacturing engineering principles.
- Proficiency with software packages such as Agile and SAP.
- Experience with statistical techniques used to support root cause analysis.
