Sustainability Specialist

Responsibilities

• Actively shape and implement the corporate sustainability strategy and ensure its continuous updates
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Hungarian and EU ESG regulations and other legal obligations
• Support the operation and continuous improvement of the ESG system
• Assist with ESG audits, customer inquiries, and compliance assessments
• Manage ESG-related records, including data collection, organization, and processing
• Conduct supplier ESG questionnaires, evaluations, and data reporting
• Maintain relationships with partner companies, customers, and suppliers regarding sustainability topics
• Prepare and support sustainability development projects, including energy use, carbon footprint, and waste reduction
• Contribute to CSRD sustainability reporting through data collection, verification, and documentation
• Support logistics through packaging and ecological transition projects
• Develop sustainability awareness programs, internal communications, and educational materials

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree
• Fluent and business-level English (written and spoken)
• Professional experience within a multinational company or large corporation
• Professional experience specifically related to sustainability
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and responsibly
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with internal and external partners

Preferred Qualifications

• ESG or sustainability-specific professional certification
• Specialized experience in ESG reporting, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, or carbon footprint calculation
• Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO50001 management systems
