Sustainability Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of project sustainability strategies and targets
• Review project designs, construction plans, and operational processes to identify sustainability improvements
• Monitor compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations and standards
• Conduct environmental impact assessments, audits, and site inspections
• Promote sustainable construction practices including energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction
• Track and report sustainability KPIs such as carbon footprint, waste diversion, and resource savings
• Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure alignment with sustainability goals
• Prepare sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability management, environmental compliance, or sustainable infrastructure projects
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, airport, or construction projects
• Familiarity with international sustainability standards such as LEED, BREEAM, or ISO 14001
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and sustainability assessment tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or relevant professional certification
• Professional certification in sustainability (e.g., LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor)
• Knowledge of airport operations and aviation sustainability requirements
• Experience implementing carbon reduction, waste management, or renewable energy initiatives
