Sustainability Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of sustainability and carbon consultancy services across the road, rail, water, and property sectors
• Act as a technical focal point for decarbonisation strategies, aligning with carbon budgets and Net Zero goals
• Conduct detailed carbon assessments, including Whole Life Carbon Assessments, and develop carbon management plans
• Support green building certification assessments such as BREEAM, LEED, NABERS, and WELL
• Lead stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops to promote carbon reduction throughout all project phases

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification
• Practitioner membership of IEMA (or equivalent) and working towards full membership
• Robust understanding of UK climate legislation, policy drivers, and standards
• Demonstrable experience in carrying out Whole Life Carbon Assessments and carbon accounting
• Proficiency in using software such as One Click LCA
• Strong report writing skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
