About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of CERN's 2025-2026 Sustainability Report from planning through to publication
- Write and edit social and governance content aligned with GRI standards
- Ensure adherence to project plans, timelines, and approval processes
- Produce engaging content for web, social media, and other digital channels
- Contribute to the development of internal sustainability e-learning modules
- Support the planning and delivery of sustainability-related campaigns and events
- Track regulatory developments and evolving reporting standards like GRI, CSRD, and ESRS
Requirements
- Experience drafting sustainability or ESG reports in corporate, NGO, or research contexts
- Experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects with documented governance
- Professional background in Sustainability or Communications
- Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation experience, or a PhD with up to 3 years of experience
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Proficiency in English; French proficiency is strongly desirable
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and implementing communications plans and outreach activities
- Experience with digital content management systems
- Experience in a scientific, academic, or intergovernmental setting
- Knowledge of GRI, CSRD/ESRS, or equivalent reporting frameworks
- Data visualization or infographic design skills
