About the role

Responsibilities

  • Detect, analyze, and influence the implementation of sustainability regulations to ensure company compliance
  • Maintain a roadmap and dashboard of compliance requirements across various regions
  • Track legislative requirements for WEEE, batteries, packaging, eco design, waste shipment, materials, ESG, climate, and the circular economy
  • Develop policy analysis and compliance instructions to keep internal teams informed of new legislation
  • Attend meetings with industry associations, key stakeholders, and policy makers
  • Provide technical input for consultation responses and advocacy support
  • Collaborate with global colleagues to provide an overview of regulations impacting the business

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on sustainability or environmental policy (e.g., Environmental Law, Management, or Geography)
  • 4-7 years of experience in a sustainability, policy, or compliance role
  • Expertise in one or more areas: WEEE, batteries, packaging, eco design, waste shipment, materials, ESG, or the circular economy
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage fluid situations and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Proficiency with productivity software including Microsoft Office and AI tools like CoPilot

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Italian, German, or French language skills
  • Experience coordinating and directing virtual, matrixed teams to solve complex problems
  • Proven ability to communicate program plans and results to senior management
