Sustainability Program Lead

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sustainability programs aligned with Sanofi Planet Care strategies to reduce the site's environmental footprint.
• Manage data and reporting for all utilities, including natural gas, water, and electricity, to track consumption and set reduction targets.
• Manage budgets related to utility consumption, conservation projects, and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead Planet Care initiatives such as Digital Energy Monitoring, HVAC Optimization, and Energy/Water Roadmaps.
• Analyze utility usage and coordinate on-site energy audits to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with HSE to identify environmental compliance concerns and develop projects to address gaps in wastewater, refrigerants, and air emissions.
• Manage ISO 50001 certification and participate in the Sustainability Community of Practice (COP) network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with project delivery and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated success leading and coaching technical teams.
• Experience managing unionized teams and working in highly cross-functional environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).
• Understanding of industrial production environments and maintenance/engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering or science degree.
• P.Eng or C.E.M. designation.
• Experience with environmental compliance and management systems.
