About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Project Sustainability Management Plan, including compliance procedures and reporting mechanisms.
- Coordinate sustainability objectives with all project stakeholders, including the Government, Designers, and Subcontractors.
- Collect, review, and verify all sustainability documentation from project teams to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor compliance with sustainability requirements and implement corrective action plans for any identified deficiencies.
- Track construction waste metrics, including diversion, recycling, and landfill disposal, while maintaining all necessary receipts and calculations.
- Monitor compliance with Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) management plans, low-emitting material requirements, and moisture control measures.
- Coordinate with Commissioning Agents on energy, water efficiency, and renewable energy systems.
- Develop and maintain the Project Sustainability eNotebook and prepare all final closeout deliverables and turnover packages.
- Ensure adherence to UFGS, UFC, LEED, FEMP, and EPA standards.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required for security clearance purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant sustainability management experience, specifically on federal construction projects.
- LEED Green Associate or equivalent sustainability certification is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) credential.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning processes.
- OSHA 10-Hour Training Certificate obtained within the last 5 years.
