Sustainability Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of green building certifications including LEED, SITES, and the City of Dallas CECAP.
• Develop and execute construction sustainability plans covering waste management, indoor air quality, and stormwater.
• Perform regular job-site inspections to ensure compliance with sustainability requirements.
• Manage documentation, forms, and templates required for green building certification submittals.
• Lead sustainability coordination meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Advise on the feasibility, cost, and schedule impacts of sustainability strategies during pre-construction.
• Track and report on job-site carbon emissions and water consumption.
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontracts to ensure alignment with sustainability programs.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Sustainability, Environmental science, or a related field.
• 6 years of construction experience specifically in a sustainability role.
• LEED Accreditation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree with a focus on construction sustainability or related practices.
• Experience with embodied carbon accounting.
• Background in construction administration or management.
• Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and sustainability regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction project documentation software.
