Sustainability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement sustainability measures aligned with the company strategy and drive change management on-site
• Translate sustainability targets into practical, actionable measures for construction projects
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and project requirements
• Monitor resource use, including fuel, energy, water, and materials, to ensure efficiency
• Track carbon emissions and support the implementation of reduction measures
• Monitor environmental aspects such as air quality, noise, dust, and water discharge
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits to ensure adherence to management plans
• Support sustainability KPI tracking, data collection, and the preparation of environmental reports
• Train site teams on environmental and sustainability practices to promote sustainable construction methods

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• 4–8 years of experience in construction or environmental roles
• Strong understanding of site operations and practical implementation
• Proven experience in environmental compliance, monitoring, and reporting
• Basic understanding of sustainability and decarbonization principles
• Proficiency in data handling and reporting tools, specifically Excel
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence site behavior
• A hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
