Sustainability Data & Energy Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze utility and resource consumption data across facilities and operations
• Develop dashboards and analytics tools to monitor energy and resource consumption trends
• Build and maintain forecasting models for Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions, water, and waste
• Manage greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations and prepare data for corporate sustainability reporting
• Prepare audit-ready datasets and documentation for energy and GHG emissions assurance reviews
• Partner with operations, facilities, and engineering to optimize energy performance and systems
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and automation scripts using SQL, Python, and BI tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Environmental Science, Energy Management, Economics, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in energy analytics, sustainability data management, or utility data analysis
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Excel, and PowerBI or Tableau
• Knowledge of energy markets, utility tariffs, and industrial energy management
• Experience with GHG accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and sustainability reporting frameworks
• Experience with API implementation from internal and external sources
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to interpret complex datasets

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CEM, CMVP, PMP, or GHG Management Certificate
• Experience with SaaS-based ESG data management systems and energy modeling software
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting programs like CDP, ISSB, or CSRD
• Experience managing enterprise data systems or ETL pipelines
