Sustainability and Responsibility Director

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the social and environmental strategy for the Aged Spirits & Champagne portfolio across the UK and Ireland
• Influence senior stakeholders to ensure sustainability is integrated into business decision-making and operations
• Ensure compliance with UK, Irish, French, and North American environmental regulations and anticipate regulatory changes
• Oversee ISO standard systems, risk management, and environmental emergency response protocols
• Lead the measurement, analysis, and communication of social and environmental performance at a cluster level
• Drive data validation and reporting in alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
• Set and achieve systemic goals for energy, water, waste, and carbon reduction across multiple sites
• Inspire and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of sustainability throughout the organization

Requirements

• Previous experience in a senior leadership position within sustainability, environmental management, or a related discipline
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and coaching talent
• Deep understanding of UK and Ireland environmental laws and European ESG frameworks
• Strong influencing and communication skills to engage both internal and external senior stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data for decision-making and external disclosures
• Experience building robust governance structures for monitoring and reporting progress
