Sustainability Advisor

About the Company

Watershed is the enterprise sustainability platform. Companies like Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens use Watershed to manage climate and ESG data, produce audit-ready metrics for voluntary and regulatory reporting including CSRD, and drive real decarbonization.

Responsibilities

• Advise sustainability leaders at leading companies on advancing sustainability programs, including target-setting, decarbonization, and regulatory reporting.
• Build sustainability intelligence by staying ahead of emerging frameworks, regulations, and market developments.
• Translate sustainability trends and regulatory changes into actionable guidance for internal teams and customers.
• Help develop new products and services by exploring sustainability needs in emerging topics and prototyping customer value.

Requirements

• 8-15+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years at a consulting firm in client-facing roles.
• At least 4 years of experience in sustainability.
• Expertise in corporate decarbonization and familiarity with climate frameworks (GHGP, PCAF, SBTi, ISO) and reporting frameworks (CSRD, CCDAA, ASRS, ISSB, CDP).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use and speak to data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for C-suite audiences.
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and influence decision-making in complex organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience decarbonizing global scope 1 and 2 footprints.
• Experience supporting asset managers or financial institutions with sustainability programs.
• Experience decarbonizing physical supply chains.
• Previous experience in SaaS climate tech.
• Advanced degree in sustainability, climate science, environmental engineering, or related fields.
• Fluency in English, Spanish, French, or German.
