Sushi Sous Chef

Responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen operations and monitor the quality of all dishes produced.
• Monitor consumption and maximize the capacity of resources and equipment.
• Ensure the kitchen and utensils maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Continuously improve health and safety standards to avoid hazards.
• Coach, motivate, and evaluate kitchen staff through on-the-job training and refresher courses.
• Deliver high-quality products and address guest requests or complaints promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a 5-star Western kitchen.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent product knowledge of international cuisine and supply pricing.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, schedules, and daily operations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and management.
• Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work shifts and remain flexible according to business demand.
