Surveyors and Crew Chiefs

Responsibilities

• Execute construction surveys including boundary, topographic, control, and construction staking
• Operate advanced equipment such as GPS, robotic total stations, 3D scanners, and drones
• Interpret construction plans, legal documents, and survey specifications to guide field work
• Lead surveying operations and field personnel, providing technical guidance and mentorship
• Develop and implement surveying plans and methodologies to optimize data collection
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design alignment
• Perform quality control checks to verify survey accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Manage survey data processing and maintain detailed reports, logs, and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of field construction survey experience in heavy civil infrastructure or power/water facilities
• Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and LiDAR technology
• Proficiency with Trimble Access and Trimble Business Center
• Ability to travel to project sites for the duration of assignments
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical ability to lift equipment and perform manual tasks in varied outdoor terrain and weather
• Strong mathematical skills, including basic algebra and geometry for field calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Certification
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation
• Experience with drone operations and GIS platforms
