About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage all survey and layout activities
  • Coordinate and schedule work with Project Directors, Managers, and Engineers
  • Maintain expertise in GPS, survey equipment, software, and methodology
  • Manage, track, and inventory survey and machine control equipment
  • Perform QA/QC reviews for 3D modeling and grading
  • Provide work control lines and elevations for accurate material installation
  • Perform topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities
  • Supervise surveying technicians and trainees
  • Document surveying activities and maintain equipment

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of practical field experience in Heavy Highway construction
  • Experience with Machine Control
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, C3D, or Carlson Civil
  • Ability to work in outdoor elements, at heights, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to walk on uneven ground and wear steel-toed boots

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed surveyor or actively working toward licensure
