Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Provide survey set out, pickup, reconciliation and reporting services
• Work closely with Technical Services and Production crews to align survey outputs with operational goals
• Survey volumes and calculations for waste excavation, coal mining and rehabilitation quantities
• Provision of design compliance plans on a weekly basis or as required
• Provide as built surfaces using Maptek scanners, Trimble GPS & Total stations, and RPAS photogrammetry and LiDAR surveys
• Produce GIS structured maps using ESRI suites and Global mapper
• Ensure all survey activities comply with statutory requirements and Anglo American standards
• Conduct risk assessments before fieldwork and implement safe work practices

Requirements

• Degree in Surveying or Spatial Science
• Mine Surveying experience within an Open Cut coal mining operation
• Technical proficiency in data processing and design software used in mine surveying
• Ability to work towards registration via the QLD surveyor's board

Preferred Qualifications

• Remote Pilot License (RePL)
