Survey Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare survey documents including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic maps, and plats
• Write legal descriptions for survey documents independently
• Produce plan and profile, boundary, and roadway files
• Perform land records research and compile deeds and plats into deed sketches
• Assist with staking computations and construction staking principles
• Prepare field crew packages and point maps
• Maintain meticulous records of survey data and field notes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of surveying work experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, and Civil 3D
• Knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering (S.U.E) Quality Levels
• Ability to read DOT Right-of-Way, site, grading, and utility plans
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass motor vehicle records check, drug test, and functional assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• BS or associate’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or CAD
• NSPS CST Level II certification
