Survey Party Chief

Responsibilities

• Supervise checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project
• Coordinate and manage the mobilisation of survey equipment and software on vessel
• Manage the flow of data from calibration through logging and quality control
• Develop project procedures and assist in project preparation
• Manage project work scope and adhere to contractual aspects offshore
• Provide guidance and supervision to the offshore survey team
• Ensure personnel meet company requirements for competence, health, and safety
• Communicate daily with the Project Manager and liaise with client representatives
• Manage subcontractor field teams and carry out offshore appraisals
• Complete daily and end-of-project reporting
• Maintain survey standards and ensure all data is backed up and submitted in agreed formats

Requirements

• Post Secondary Education in Hydrographic Survey, Geomatics, or similar
• At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Surveyor
• Experience in acting Party Chief or Party Chief duties
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Document Control Systems
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in Incident Investigation & Reporting
