Survey Engineer/Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot survey equipment throughout offshore operations
• Setup networks and interface survey sensors to the online system
• Make up and terminate various cabling types including antennas, networks, serial data, video, and subsea sensors
• Commission, calibrate, and decommission all survey equipment
• Manage all survey/ROV interface cables and maintain equipment logs and inventories
• Prepare and maintain cabling and interface diagrams
• Support the on-line surveyor during operations and communicate daily with the Party Chief
• Accountable for the offshore tracking, demobilization, and shipping of survey equipment

Requirements

• Post Secondary Education in Electronics or Engineering (experience may compensate for lack of formal competency)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with serial data protocols, ethernet comms, and fibre optics
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the offshore Oil & Gas or Renewables industry
